Clement "Clem" F. Larson
, 92, Wells, went to be with the Lord on Saturday November 24, 2012, while surrounded by his family at Sunnyview A.F.C. He was born on February 29, 1920 in Gladstone, Mi, the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Anderson) Larson.

Clem graduated from Gladstone High School in 1938. In July of 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in France and Germany with the 95th Division, 378th Infantry. He was awarded a Silver Star, Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badges as well as numerous other service awards. Clem was honorably discharged on November 21, 1945. Upon returning to Gladstone, he met and married the former Virginia Mileski of Wells on February 22, 1946.

He was employed by Neenah Paper, Chicago Northwestern Railroad and Mead Paper where he retired from in 1982 after 25 years. Clem was an original member of the Wells Lions Club and was also a member of the Mead Management Club and the 25 year Club. He was also a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua in Wells.

Throughout his life, Clem was happiest spending time with his family. He also loved traveling with his family and special friends, doing woodworking projects with his grandchildren. Some of his other hobbies included: golfing, bowling, cribbage with lifelong friends, studying history and cheering the Packers and Tigers.

Clem is survived by his four children: Joe (Jeanne) Larson of Escanaba, Barbara (Ronald) McCollum of Perry, MI, Clement "Tod" (Janet) Larson Jr. of Escanaba and Elizabeth (Stephen) Lenca of Escanaba, one brother: Robert (Bernice) Larson of Wells, eight grandchildren: Sarah, Jacob, Clem III, Anne, John, Neil, Lauren and Samuel, five great-grandchildren: Olivia, Jonah, Mason, Jemma and Henrik, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five brothers: Willard, Harvey, Stanley "Ike", Norman and Lloyd, six sisters: Edith Dabney, Myrtle Lerioux, Dorothy Johnson, Ruth Legault, Norma Lavigne and Jane Bruntjens.

As a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, we all have shared many wonderful memories and he will be deeply missed.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday November 28, 2012 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Anthony of Padua in Wells with Fr. Rick Courier officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
