Edward "Ed" J. Lantagne

          Edward "Ed" J. Lantagne, 94, Riverland, passed away on Saturday January 23, 2021at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 25, 1926 in Gaastra, MI to the late Henry and Elma (Plourde) Lantagne. On February 27, 1946 he married the former Linnea Sodergren at Holy Family church in Flat Rock. Together they shared 74 years of wonderful memories.
 
          Ed was known for being a hard worker, his sense of humor and his love for Oliver tractors. He participated in tractor pulls in Michigan and Wisconsin up to 88 years of age, winning many trophies and awards. Ed was a farmer, drove a milk truck in Cornell, Watson and Rock area, worked construction and was a current member of Laborers Union Local 1329. He owned and operated Lantagne Salvage with his son Richard.
 
          He is survived by his loving wife, five loving children: Sandy (Chip) Delaney, Richard (Linda) Lantagne, Donna (Jim) Pepin, Allen (Kim) Lantagne and Tammy (Greg) Johnson, daughter-in-law: Ann Lantagne, twenty-three grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
 
          Ed was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Nancy Flores, a son: Raymond Lantagne, son-in-law: Edwin "Butch" Baldwin, great-granddaughter: Sarah Jean Motto, and his siblings, Fedelia Lafave, Angeline LaMarche, Pearl Levesque, Archie, Arthur, Leo and William Lantagne.
 
          In keeping with Edwards wishes, there will be no public services.
 
          His family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Keeker and the staff at Marquette U.P. Health System.
