Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Pavlat
, 62, Carney, passed away on Saturday September 15, 2012 at her home. She was born in Detroit on July 3, 1950 to William and Alice "Mickey" (Marria) Pavlat. She graduated from St. Agatha’s Catholic School in Redford Township, MI and attended Central Michigan University.

Beth lived in various cities around the United States and in Germany for over 20 years before settling in Carney, MI in 1990. She is a member of St. John Neumann’s parish in Spalding. Beth was an avid reader and was a member of a book club. She was involved in helping with various projects at St. John’s church and was active in the local Lion’s club. She loved dancing and music and collected music from all styles, especially her favorite traditional Irish music.

She is survived by her mother: Mickey of Livonia, MI, her brothers: Patrick (Jan) of Monroe, MI, Gerald of Troy, MI and Daniel (Jill) of Livonia, MI. She also leaves four nieces, two nephews, four grand-nieces and 4 grand-nephews who will miss her immensely.

Beth was preceded in death by her father and her nephew, John.

Beth battled cancer for the past year and was helped greatly by her numerous cousins in the Veezer family and her cousins in the Fazer family, as well as her numerous friends and co-workers at the Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers, where she had been employed for the last 13 years, and where she was known for her outgoing personality.

Friends may call from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday September 19, 2012 at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday at the church with Fr. Michael Vichich officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church parish hall. Burial will take place in the Spalding Township Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in the Detroit area at a later date.
