Louise "Sugar" M. Steinmetz, 75, Wilson, passed away on Saturday March 5, 2022 at her home with her loving husband by her side. She was born on October 1, 1946 in Escanaba, daughter of the late John and Elaine (Olson) Clairmont. On August 10, 1974 she married George Steinmetz in Escanaba.
Sugar enjoyed going on motorcycle trips with her husband and their friends. She also loved spending time with all her grandchildren and knitting or crocheting different things for them.
She is survived by her loving husband, four children: Hope (fiancé: Tom Kyllonen) Steinmetz, Chris (Marie) Hoffman, Misty (Cole) Nehring and Michelle (Dustin) Salter, a brother: John, grandchildren: Steven (Jess) Adydan, Reanna (Chad) Poffus, Kayla (Aaron) Beyer, Cullen Salter, Lane Nehring and Myles Nehring, four great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
Sugar was preceded in death by her parents, a son: Brian Hoffman and a brother: James.
Family will receive friends Thursday March 10, 2022 from 12:00 (noon) to 2:00 p.m. (CST) at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Louise will be at 2:00 p.m. (CST) on Thursday at the funeral home with Fr. Rick Courier officiating. A luncheon will be held following services at the R Place restaurant in Spalding.
The Allo Coolman Funeral Homes are assisting the Steinmetz family.
