O'Neill A. King, 90, Escanaba, passed away on Monday June 7, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Hospital. He was born on April 8, 1931 in Gladstone, MI, son of the late Edward and Cecilia (Taylor) King. On July 8, 2000 he married the former Lois Daigneault in Escanaba.
O’Neill is survived by his wife: Lois, daughter: Rhonda (Tom) Dykowski, seven step-children: Linda (Dave) Johnson, Charles Livermore, Nancy Livermore, Sally (Pete) Jepson, Shelly (Roxanne) Livermore, Michael (Becky) Livermore and Barbara Livermore, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Pearl Chouinard, Lillian Muirhead, Edsel King, John King, William King, Patricia Ricca and Edelore King and a granddaughter: Natalie Kabosic.
Friends may call from 12:00 (noon) to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday June 10, 2021 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba with Delta County Veterans Council rites at 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at St. Thomas Church with Fr. Rick Courier officiating. Burial will follow Mass in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
His family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Lakeview Assisted Living where he resided for the past year and also the staff at OSF St. Francis Hospital for all their wonderful care given to O'Neill.
