          Antoinette "Toni" Marie Hammerberg, 91, Powers, passed away on Thursday August 29, 2013 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. She was born on June 30, 1922 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Antone and Anna (Orzechowski) Wojtowicz. On November 1, 1941 she married Ivan Hammerberg in Carney, MI, who preceded her in death in 1974.
 
          Toni enjoyed farming on her family farm in her earlier years, growing vegetables in her garden and going shopping. She loved spending time with her family, especially all her grandchildren.
 
          She is survived by her two sons: Ivan Hammerberg and Kenneth (Nancy) Hammerberg, two sisters: Helen Cappaert and Cazmeralla Harris, seven grandchildren: Jim, Laura, Danny, Jesse, Rebecca, Lynn and Megan, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
 
          Toni was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers: Ted and George Willa and two sisters: Marion Idle and Stella Malm.
 
          Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (CST) on Friday September 6, 2013 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. Funeral services will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. (CST) on Friday at the funeral home with Fr. Emmett Norden officiating. Burial will follow in the Carney Free Church Cemetery.
