Bonita “Bonnie” Joy LeBoeuf, 66, Powers, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Daggett, MI on December 15, 1951, daughter of the late Orlin W. and Mildred (Poupore) Ekberg.
Bonnie enjoyed going to camp, riding horses and motorcycles, and watching the birds. She loved spending time with family and friends and always made them laugh.
Bonnie is survived by her sons: Jason (Holly Hansen) Triest and Chris (Loni) Triest, step son: Levi Danielson, grandchildren: Skye, Ridge, Autumn, and Rowan Triest, siblings: Leon (Diane) Ekberg, Kurt (Cheryl) Ekberg, Jayne (Gary) Eichorn, and Bryan (Brenda) Ekberg, mother-in-law Eleanor LeBoeuf, brother-in-law: David LeBoeuf, sister-in-law: Cathy (Frank) Phelps, many nieces and nephews, dog: Dozer, and cat: Aurora. A special thank you to Bob and Laura Triest, Linda Triest, Nikki Linder, Nina Thiry, and Lisa Klingenmaier.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jeff LeBoeuf in 2005, father-in-law: Donald LeBoeuf, brother-in-law: Greg LeBoeuf, and her parents.
Friends may call on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (CST) at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. A funeral service celebrating Bonnie's life will follow the visitation at 3 p.m. (CST) at the funeral home officiated by Fr. Darryl Pepin. Burial will be in Spalding Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a "Ride to Survive" account has been set up at the Integra First Federal Credit Union in Powers, MI, with benefits supporting local cancer and disaster victims.
