          Carl L. Pohl, 78, Carney, passed away on Friday morning, August 20, 2021, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility with his loving wife by his side. He was born on September 22, 1942 in Monroe, MI, son of the late Elmer and Clara (Gruber) Pohl. Carl met the love of his life, Sue, when they were young. From the very beginning, Carl had always asked Sue, "How much do you love me?" and the answer never changed over the years, with "more than enough". Carl and Sue Pohl married on August 31, 1963 and lived a joyous life together moving to the U.P. from Pinckney, MI, to continue to grow their love and family.
 
          He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cracking jokes, and spending time with his family.
 
          Carl is survived by his best friend and wife: Sue, children: Suzanne Pohl, Cheryl (Jon) Kell, Carl (Felipa) Pohl Jr., Sandy (Andy) Berg, David (Hiddi) Pohl, Christy (Kevin) Kirschner, Tammy (Dan) Savage, Bobbie (Tom) Harris, Billie (Scott) Johnson and Jamie Pohl, twenty-five grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, his brother: Mel Pohl, and many nieces and nephews.
 
          He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Vern Pohl and Butch Pohl, and his sister: Sarah Rohde.
 
          A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
