Colleen Kay Anderson
Date of Death: January, 21 2012

Colleen Kay Anderson, 57, Wells, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 21, 2012 at her home. She was born on January 2, 1955 in Escanaba, the daughter of Edward and Patricia (Bovin) McCarthy. On October 8, 1977 she married John Anderson at St. Anne's Church in Escanaba.
Colleen was very interested in crocheting and knitting. All of her siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews are proud owners of socks, sweaters, and other items of her handiwork. She was well known for her ability to needle, and also teasing her family and friends, and was an artist at doing so. Behind all of the needling and teasing was a heart of gold, that would do anything possible for her family and friends, who will miss her greatly.
Colleen worked most of her life beginning at the Daily Press, Montgomery Ward, as a crossing guard for the Escanaba Public Schools and Wal-Mart. In recent years she also adopted the Silver Winds Church as her religious choice and found a place where she could assist in so many ways. Colleen was a very loving wife and mother and a caring person to her friends and family.
She is survived by her parents, her husband, her daughter: Trisha, sister: Patricia (Thomas) Sealander, brothers: Edward (Sue) McCarthy and Timothy (Julie) McCarthy, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Colleen was preceded in death by an infant daughter Shayla and her sister Kathleen (McCarthy) Fiorillo.
