Deborah “Debbie” A. Yates, 60, Carney, passed away on Saturday May 3, 2025 at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson in Iron Mountain after fighting a year long illness. She was born on May 2, 1965 in Minneapolis, MN, daughter of James T. and the late Eileen A. (Ruttner) Buck. On August 10, 1985 she married Peter “Pete” Yates Jr. in Minesota.
Debbie is survived by her father, three sons: Joshua (Tessa Phelps) Yates, Tyler Yates and Nash Yates, two grandsons: Connor and Lucian, one brother: James P. Buck, one sister: Cathy Buck, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many great friends, including Amanda Dobson and her mother Laurie Dobson, who were also great caregivers over the past year.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband.
Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. (CST) on Thursday May 22, 2025 at St. Bruno’s Parish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at church with Fr. Antony John officiating. Burial will follow Mass in the Nadeau Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall.
