Eva Marie Brown, passed away at the age of 78 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba on Wednesday January 24, 2018. She was born on July 10, 1939 and raised in Garden, MI, the daughter of the late Alfred "Fred" and Agnes (Chadonais) LaLonde. On August 6, 1959 she married the late Darr Brown in Escanaba and he precedes her in death.
Eva was employed by the state of Michigan for 28 years as an adult foster care provider. She enjoyed organic gardening and doing things in the outdoors. She also had a hobby shop, making things mostly with wood.
She is survived by two sons: Randy (Heather) and Bey (Pam) Brown, one daughter: Deborah (Terry) Paul, two grandsons: Austin Brown and Randy J. Brown, one great-grandson: Jacob Brown, one sister: Ann Plourde, one brother: Francis LaLonde, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter: Darlene, a grandson: Daniel Brown, two brothers: Edward and John LaLonde and a sister: Marie LaMarche.
Friends may call from 12:00 (noon) to 1:30 p.m. on Monday January 29, 2018 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home (400 S. 10th St., Escanaba, MI 49829). A funeral service to celebrate the life of Eva Brown will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Otis officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Garden Township Cemetery in the spring.
