Gary Lee Savord, 70, Hermansville, passed away on Monday July 25, 2011 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. He was born on December 11, 1940 to the late William and Rose (Fabry) Savord in Hermansville.
Gary had worked at the Fox Farm in Hermansville and then went into the construction laborers union 1329 and worked in the construction field for over 30 years before his retirement. He loved being in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Gary also enjoyed cooking, going for rides and collecting things.
He is survived by his two children: Debra (Norm) Royston of Escanaba and Steve Savord of De Pere, WI, one brother: Lawrence (Martha) Savord of Hermansville, two sisters: Betty (Roger) Whitens of Hermansville and Rose (Brian) Cowles of Battle Creek, MI as well as nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Wesley and Howard Savord.
A private burial service will be held at a later date in the Meyer Township Cemetery.
