Condolences
  • "I remember saying hello to Miss Janet, once in awhile in passing, from when we were next door neighbors on South 18th Street. I was in grade school then. I have thought of her through out the years. We do that sometimes along our life's journey. Wonder where they are or who they've become. Her beaming smile always stood out to me. Very kind, and nice lady. May Miss Janet rest in eternal peace. My sincere condolence to her family. (sun19mar2023)"

  • "I met Jan through the animal shelter; she was there when I got my first group of foster kittens. She was such a fixture and we bonded over our love of sassy feral kittens. She had taken cover under the awning of the barn on my wedding day and I was shaking as I walked out, hers was the first face I saw and she gave me the biggest smile and nodded me on. I’ll never forget that moment of silent support. She was such a ray of sunshine and she will be missed! "

  • "Janet and I spent many years in a professional setting and it was a privilege to be involved in her healthcare. I admired her strength, kindness and love for her "human" family and her "furry" families! My deepest condolences to all. I know she will be missed. She was quite a woman!"

  • "Janet holds a special place in my memory as one of three special dog-lovers who led the Dogs and Friends 4-H group for a few years. My daughter Sandi was part of the group, and she learned so much from Janet and the others. Sandi still loves dogs, and she's the one her brothers call on when they don't know how to manage their own pets. I remember watching Janet run with her cocker spaniel Sammy in the agility trials. They did well, and it looked liked they had fun working together. "
