          Jean L. Gatien, 95, Spalding, passed away on Thursday October 13, 2016 at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers. She was born on February 26, 1921 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of the late Fred and Elvina (Gibson) Vincent. On September 21, 1940 she married the late Roy Gatien in Spalding.
 
          Jean enjoyed painting, playing music, hunting, gardening, bird watching, fishing and was a very dedicated nurse.
 
          She is survived by her six children: Dennis (Donna) Gatien, Barbara (DeWayne) Stebbins, Cynthia (James) Visintainer, Fredrick Gatien, Darrel "Duke" Gatien and Mark Gatien, thirteen grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
 
          Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 2000.
 
          In keeping with Jean's wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will celebrate her life with a private memorial service.
 
          The Allo Coolman Funeral Homes are assisting the Gatien family.
