Marguerite H. Potvin
, 99, Escanaba, formerly of Wells, passed away Sunday morning February 13, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born on February 24, 1911 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Gunkel) Call. In 1933 she married the late Alfred Potvin in Escanaba.

Marguerite was a past member of St. Anthony's Church where she was involved in the choir and also the St. Anthony's Ladies Guild. She loved to read and play bridge. Marguerite was always known for her homemade apple pies.

She is survived by her son: Gerald (Elizabeth) Potvin, two granddaughters: Debbie Potvin and Vicky (Ed) Giguere, two great-grandchildren: Paul (Nocole) Gregoire and Jaime (Jason) McCarthy, two great great-grandchildren: Pryce Gregoire and Kasen Gregoire as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister: Edna and three brothers: Charles, William and George Call.

Friends may call from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday February 17, 2011 at Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at St. Anne's Parish with Fr. Francis DeGroot officiating. A luncheon will follow Mass in the church fellowship hall. Burial will take place in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, her family requests that donations be made in Marguerite Potvin's name to a charity of your choice.
