Marilyn Louise Copeland, 76, Wilson, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday January 4, 2011 at her home. She was born on November 13, 1934 to the late Earnest and Dorothy (Layton) McDaniel in Lebanon, IN. On May 27, 1955 she married Richard "Dick" Copeland at Pleasant View Methodist Church in Indiana.
Marilyn loved her flowers and taking care of others. She was an avid Packer fan and Hoosier basketball fan. She enjoyed the peace and tranquility of their property along the river with her husband for the past 30 years. Above all, Marilyn will be remembered by her family as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, four children: Randal (Kathleen) Copeland, Daniel (Laura) Copeland, Sandra (Bruce) St. Aubin and Elizabeth Frievalt, one brother: Gary (Judy) McDaniel, four sisters: Phyllis Cooper, Patricia Wilson, Shirley (Leon) Beedlove and Carolyn (Dale) Wilson, ten grandchildren: Erin Copeland, Eileen (Tom) Roddy, Kelly (Jason) Pivatto, Matthew Copeland, Emily Copeland, Cassaundra Copeland, Andrew Frievalt, Adeline, Aletha and Amelia St. Aubin, one great-granddaughter: Annabelle Hallfrisch as well as many nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Saturday January 8, 2011 at Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Marilyn Copeland will follow visitation at 5:00 p.m. (CST) on Saturday at Allo Coolman Funeral Home with Rev. James Copeland officiating. Burial will take place in the Spalding Township Cemetery in the spring.
