Bob graduated from Escanaba High School in 1974 and while wrestling for 4 years earned the title of U.P. State Champion in the 167 lb. weight class his Senior year. Thereafter, he attended Lake Superior State College where he continued to wrestle. Bob also earned a certificate in Welding from West Shore Community College in Scottville, Michigan.
Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed camping in the outdoors. He cherished a good laugh, family outings, and extensive culinary delights. He was generous to many as he enjoyed helping others and never hesitated to lend a hand to those in need.
Friends may call from 12:00 (noon) to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 23, 2018 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A funeral service celebrating the life of Bob Reiffers will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Fr. Eric Olson officiating.
