Sandra "Sandi" Marie McDonough, 53, Escanaba, passed away Wednesday April 27, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 16, 1957 to the late Elmer and Margaret (Nelson) Martinson in Escanaba. On January 31, 1998 she married Robert "Bob" McDonough in Escanaba.

Sandi loved life to its fullest. She enjoyed working in her garden, spending time with her beloved cats and always cherished her time spent at Elmers Restaurant and being around people where she worked for 14 years. Sandi was also known for her excellent cooking and baking.

She is survived by her husband: Robert McDonough, two sons: Nathaniel Erickson and Robert (Dawn) Erickson, one step-daughter: Michelle (John) Romig IV, two brothers: Elmer (Christine) Martinson and Gary (Betty) Martinson, three grandchildren: Noah Erickson and Megan and John Romig V, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many special friends.

Sandi was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law: Leona McDonough and her cousin: Patty Boudreau.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday May 2, 2011 at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Escanaba. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at St. Anne's Parish with Fr. Francis DeGroot officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Sandra will be laid to rest at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday April 3, 2011 in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery.
