Susan graduated from Holy Name High School and later bartended at different local businesses throughout her life. She loved kids, dogs and REX. In her later years she was an active foster grandparent.
She is survived by her two daughters: Kristine Andrews and Dawn Harrell, two brothers: Harold (Doris) VanEffen and Kenneth (Ellie) VanEffen, three sisters: Rita (Herbert) Caron, Betty (Louis) Tryan and special sister Carol (Midge) Wallin, four grandchildren: Chad and Joel Popour and Deanna and Kayla Andrews, one great grandchild on the way, special nieces: Shirley (Johnny) Simmons and Sandy (Rex) Seegert as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands: Roy Johnson and John Lombardi, six sisters: Millie Kraft, Leota Cole, Margie Coppock, Mary Jane Vermullen, Irene Bassett and Jackie Dougherty and three brothers: August Jr., Raymond and Gary VanEffen.
Susan's life will be celebrated starting at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 18, 2013 at her family's home at 210 Stephenson Ave., Escanaba, MI.
