Wanda K. (Wickingson) Stankevich
Date of Death: April, 20 2021

Wanda K. (Wickingson) Stankevich, 61, Powers, passed away of an apparent heart attack on Tuesday April 20, 2021 at her home with her husband by her side. She was born on January 3, 1960 in Port Washington, WI, daughter of the late Robert and Sharon (Lampi) Wickingson.

Wanda was happiest when she was with Jerome spending time outdoors, especially fishing together. Also very important to her was spending time with her grandchildren, which were the light of her world. She loved entertaining for family and friends, and will be remembered by her family as their "Big Dog", as they all went to her for support and guidance because she would always put everyone before herself. Wanda had SISU, which means determination, grit and bravery. She made many friends over a 35 year career as a hairdresser at The Cut Above hair salon.

She is survived by her husband, four step-children, a sister: Wendy (Dave) Wender, two brothers: Doug (Deb) Wickingson and Craig (Heidi) Wickingson, fifteen grandchildren and her beloved furry companion: Blaze aka "BA".

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents: Ralph and Arlene Wickingson and Irene Arpianien and         Arnold Lampi, in-laws: Jerome and Lenore Stankevich, a brother: Cory Wickingson and special friends: Roxanne Church and Christy Depkon.

Friends may call from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. on Friday April 30, 2021 at Bethany Lutheran Church (110 Poplar St., Republic, MI 49879). A memorial service to celebrate Wanda's life will follow visitation at 12:00 (noon) on Friday with Pastor Alex Ross officiating. Due to COVID-19 precautions, masks must be worn while in the church.

The Allo Coolman Funeral Homes are assisting the Stankevich family.
